General FAQs
CPR FAQs
Where do you offer these courses?
We have multiple options depending on your needs and requirements. We can travel to your place of business or we can schedule a training at our facility. Some of our courses are also offered online via Zoom.
Will I get a certificate or card?
Yes. Certificates with unique identifiers are handed out after each class. Certificates can be verified via a scannable QR code. Plastic badges are also available for an additional charge.
American Heart Association e-cards will be emailed the same day.
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 cards will be mailed to address on file within 7-10 days of completion of the course. Paper certificates will be provided the same day.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! We offer group discounts as well as discounts for multiple courses. Please contact us for bundle pricing.
Can trainings be done in both languages?
Typically no. This would greatly extend class time as all information would need to be conveyed twice (once in English and once in Spanish). It is not recommended. It is best to schedule classes separately.
Are these courses OSHA compliant?
Yes. OSHA 10 and 30 courses are taught by an OSHA Outreach Trainer and CPR classes are taught by an American Heart Association approved instructor. All other courses we offer are taught by professionals that are competent and/or qualified in the topic being taught as stipulated by OSHA.
How soon will I get my AHA certification and for how long is it valid?
You will get your American Heart Association e-card the same day via email and it is valid for 2 years.
Are your courses accredited and approved within the industry?
Yes, our CPR courses are Nationally recognized and accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider CPR Certification is the accepted standard in the Healthcare Industry for CPR Certification.
Which CPR class should I take?
Healthcare providers such as doctors and nurses are required to take the American Heart Association BLS certification class. But you don't have to be a medical professional to get BLS certification. Our AHA BLS certification and recertification class is the most popular class.
For most other people, the AHA Heartsaver CPR/First Aid class meets OSHA training requirements. This class is ideal for teachers, camp counselors, personal trainers, babysitters, nursing home employees, nannies, construction workers, warehouse workers, daycare workers, and a lot more.
What is the difference between the 3 hours BLS - CPR/AED class versus BLS “Skills Testing”?
There are two ways to take an American Heart Association BLS class.
You can take the entire BLS class in our classroom. The class is approximately 3 hours long and the cost is is $49.
The other approach is to do most of the BLS course online, then come to our classroom for a “BLS skills test”. This is the hands-on portion of the course where you get to use the CPR manikins and AED trainers. The cost of the online portion is $31 that you pay to the American Heart Association (https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls). The cost of the skills test is $29 and is paid to us.
Both approaches result in the same American Heart Association BLS certification and are valid for 2 years.
What is the Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED course?
This course is designed by AHA to meet OSHA and requirements and covers first aid basics and CPR and AED skills for adults, children, and infants.
